Sharon Senk is a Professor in the Mathematics Department and the Division of Science and Mathematics Education. Her primary research interests are the learning and teaching of secondary school mathematics, the nature of assessment in high school mathematics classrooms, and the mathematical preparation of elementary and secondary teachers.  She currently is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Noyce Scholars Program, and the Co-PI of the Knowledge of Algebra for Teaching Project (KAT) and the Teacher Education Study in Mathematics (TEDS-M).  Professor Senk also serves as the Co-chair of the Mathematics Committee of the Teachers for a New Era (TNE) Project and a Consultant on Evaluation to the Secondary Component of the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project (UCSMP).
