Weather and Space Science
The sun, the most important star from the Earth's point of view, along with its planetary system, wil be explored in detail. A basic "cruise" through the planets is planned, including explorations of the moon. Weather phenomena and patterns, which are dependent on the physical characteristis of the earth, are incorporated into each day's work. Huricanes and tornadoes, as well as the greenhouse effect, climate changes and weather forecasting are included.

Rocks, Minerals and Fossils
Tired of having students bring you rocks and you don't have a clue as to their nature? Basic information on igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and the geological processes that led to their formation is provided. The rocks provide us with a record of these processes: volcanoes, mudslides, earthquakes and just plain sifting sand. A study of sedimentary rocks usually includes infomaraion about fossils. Ours also has serious information about the critters that captivate children - dinosaurs.
